The Bank of Canada site includes various helpful features, including information on interest and exchange rates, financial indicators, securities auctions, and more. The convenient “currency converter” allows you to determine Canadian dollar equivalents for many foreign currencies.

GST/HST

The goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) credit is a tax-free quarterly payment that helps individuals and families with low and modest incomes offset the GST or HST that they pay.
